My new blog on Huffington Post UK: Did You Ever Visit a Country and Felt Like it Was Home?

In the last twenty years, I have travelled for a few months to beautiful Costa Rica, then to New York, to Dominican Republic and later on to Thailand. In Europe I visited Paris, the Côte d’Azur, Cagnes-sur-Mer and the mountain villages Haut-de-Cagnes and Saint-Paul-de-Vence. I went to the Canary Islands (especially to Lanzarote), I have travelled through Italy and Spain and spent some time on Ibiza. I have been to former Yugoslavia, Hungary and Turkey, and I have lived in Amsterdam to study Fine Arts. It was always lovely to travel, but then I went back to Germany and waited until I prepared my next journey.

When I came to Greece, something seemed to be comfortably different. This is where I wanted to stay. Was it nature, or was it the mentality, or simply the hot healing sun? I loved watching the glittering dance of the sun on the water, flowing and relaxing at the same time. Everything seemed in balance. Nature talked to me and gave me energy and a feeling of belonging.
